NUCA of Nebraska's Background

In the fall of 2009 a group of Nebraska utility contractors and associates made an organized attempt at unifying the industry and gaining local representation that is critical to their success. Working with the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA), the group started what would be known as NUCA of Nebraska.

An organizational meeting was scheduled in September of 2009 and was well attended by both contractors and associate companies in the industry.  It was clear that the majority of companies involved in utility construction supported starting a state chapter. NUCA of Nebraska has been a model for NUCA in their Chapter in Development Program and currently is the 4th largest chapter in the country with 104 member companies.

As a leader in the underground utility construction industry, our members set the course for the entire industry. We represent both utility and excavation contractors throughout the state. Membership in NUCA of Nebraska affords you access to  valuable members-only resources, safety and administrative training opportunities, invitations to networking events both locally and nationally, and much, much more!

NUCA of Nebraska’s Vision

The National Utility Contractors Association of Nebraska will be the leading trade association and voice for the utility construction and excavation industry in Nebraska, serving as the driving force for improving conditions in the underground utility construction industry, for both open-cut and trenchless contractors.

NUCA of Nebraska’s Mission

The mission of the National Utility Contractors Association of Nebraska is to help improve public perception of the utility construction and excavation industry in Nebraska; and to help improve the operational proficiency and financial performance of member companies through training, education, information, advocacy, networking opportunities and support.
