NUCA of Nebraska Legislative Day and Breakfast with State Senators
8:00 - 9:00 a.m. in Room 1023 at the State Capitol
2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Cornhusker Marriott in Lincoln, NE
Please join us for the 2018 NUCA of Nebraska Legislative Day Breakfast on Friday morning, Feb. 23rd at the State Capitol where you will be able to educate state senators about legislative issues impacting the utility construction industry. Participate in the Annual Conference that afternoon at the Cornhusker Marriott. There will be an education breakout session where you and your colleagues can learn how to attract and hire veterans in our state through networking in the right places, engaging with the right people, and providing the right information.
A Damage Prevention session will also be offered. Learn about One Call Statute changes that became effective August 2017, discuss Concerns in the Field, review past damages and violations of the One Call system and participation in a regulation update.
Network with your peers and learn about the latest technology, products, services and equipment available in the exhibit hall. A handout with information from Nebraska engineering firms about upcoming projects for bid will be available.
Enjoy great camaraderie during a cocktail reception and listen to Sergeant Dakota Meyer share his Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan experiences during a motivational presentation during the banquet. Stay afterwards to bid on Silent Auction items to benefit NUCA of Nebraska’s Scholarship Fund.

Notice of 2018 NUCA of Nebraska Annual Meeting
February 23, 2018 from 5:30 – 6:15 p.m. Central in the Grand Ballroom DEF1
on the main level of the Cornhusker Marriott at 333 S. 13th St.
in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The annual meeting is planned in conjunction with the National
Utility Contractor Association of Nebraska’s 2018 Annual Conference. There are
two primary items of business at the annual meeting:
Election of board
members. Please read the slate of candidates below.
legislative updates and a state of the association update.
Slate of Candidates
In accordance with the requirements of the National Utility
Contractors Association of Nebraska Bylaws, the following slate of
candidates is presented for election at the 2018 Annual Meeting.
For Vice President – one-year term with automatic succession to
President – Matt Bevington from Valley Corporation. Read Matt’s candidate statement.
Two (2) Contractor Directors – each position will be elected to a two-year
term. The candidates are:
Jerry Kabourek from M.E. Collins Contracting Co., Inc. Read Jerry's candidate statement.

BJ Woehler from Woehler & Sons Construction. Read BJ's candidate statement.
One (1) Associate Member – Dave Tafolla from American Underground Supply.

Additional nominations may be made from the floor at the annual
meeting. Members nominated at the meeting must consent to serve if elected,
before such nominations are accepted.
